Shield the apps you choose
How does the Reboot adult content blocker work?
The adult content blocker is a Reboot tool that uses iOS Screen Time to put a shield on the apps and sites that you choose.
Open Blocking from "Your Tools" on the home screen. Tap "Choose what to block" and pick the apps and sites that you want shut. Your phone shields them.
Your phone asks first. You must allow Screen Time before Reboot can add a shield. Reboot cannot read your activity. It can only put a shield on what you choose.

What Reboot can and cannot see
Reboot never sees what you picked. It sees only how many items you blocked, for example "3 blocked". It does not see the sites you visit.
You can turn the shield on or off, and you can change what is blocked at any time. The screen shows "The filter is on" or "The filter is off".
Also hide adult sites
The shield covers only what you picked. iPhone also has a setting that hides adult sites everywhere, including sites that you never named. It is free, and it works in every browser and in every app.
To turn it on, open Settings and tap Screen Time. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and turn it on. Tap Content Restrictions, then Web Content, then Limit Adult Websites. You can add more sites under Never Allow.
Make the filter harder to undo
Give the Screen Time passcode to a person you trust. If you keep the passcode, you can turn the filter off at any moment. A filter that you can undo alone is easy to undo.
Does the blocker work on Android?
On Android, Reboot cannot put a shield on single apps. Screen Time is an iPhone feature. Instead, the app shows you how to hide adult sites with a free filtering DNS server that is built into Android.
To turn it on, open Settings and tap Network & internet. Tap Private DNS, then tap Private DNS provider hostname. Type family.cloudflare-dns.com and tap Save. This hides adult sites in every browser and app on that phone.
